The older I get, the more I am able to appreciate the beauty of Thanksgiving. It is such a wonderful, reflective time that can be easily overlooked during the busy going-ons of everyday life, but giving thanks is important for grounding ourselves and helping us focus on what’s truly important in our lives. This special day is about more than just food (though who can be faulted for loving a beautiful Thanksgiving feast).
At it’s core, Thanksgiving is about gratitude and, as the name suggests, giving thanks. I believe there is a hidden power in gratitude. It can ease heartache during hard times, increase joy in the good times and offer fresh perspectives for any situation.
We want to challenge you this Thanksgiving.
Instead of doing the same, rote ritual of thinking up something last minute to say around the dinner table, take some time and find something to be truly thankful for.
Hold onto that feeling of gratitude and really take note of how you feel before, during, and after focusing on it. Lets make it a daily practice to be intentionally grateful for something and watch as we gain new insights & more doors open up for us.
“To eat is a necessity, but to eat intelligently is an art.”
– François de La Rochefoucauld
May your hearts & bellies be full this Thanksgiving ❤️
