How the right foods can help strengthen Immunity

March 26, 2020

“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”

During these uncertain times, we at Stew wanted to take the time to have an open discussion about the important role food plays in our lives and how it can serve to strengthen our immune systems. Please note that we are in no way claiming that food can cure you or treat serious maladies. We fully endorse and support seeking advice from medical professionals.

We live in a society that has forgotten the importance of eating healthy, well-balanced meals. The food we consume is what fuels our entire body. Our immune system can only function as well as it’s taken care of, so if we are giving it grease laden foods and nutrient deficient substitutes, what else can we expect other than subpar bodily operations?

Our immune system is our own, personal army, working tirelessly to keep us properly defended from bacteria, sickness, infection, or any other malady in the body. Like an army, our immune system requires proper care and management to operate efficiently. Stew meals serve as the catalyst to maintain and enhance proper bodily functions as well as supply your personal army of cells, so they can continue marching on.

At Stew, we strive to pack our meals with your necessary macronutrients; fats, proteins, and carbohydrates, so you can keep functioning at your highest state while your body’s internal operations remain adequately sustained. For example, one of our chef’s favorites, the Maple Glazed Salmon + Roasted Carrots + Broccoli + Organic Brown Rice, contains everything you need from a maintenance standpoint. The Salmon serves as both your protein and a generous portion of fat, while the brown rice provides the necessary carbohydrates for continued energy, and the vegetables give a high powered dose of micronutrients (vitamins) such as vitamins A and K, Zinc, and beta carotene just to name a few.

At Stew, we promote the basic, yet integral building blocks to help you stay at optimal performance.

You owe it to yourself and those who depend on you to operate at your best, especially now. We owe it to you to help you achieve that goal. Help us help you while feeling the power of whole foods as they fuel you.

Stay healthy,

Your friends at Stew
